Anony, I feel your pain. It's tough being human. We are the parasites consuming this beautiful planet. I would venture a guess that the manufacture and delivery of the jacket itself probably caused more damage to the environment than the motorcycles did in releasing some mud and silt in that creek. The one thing I remind myself of is that those of us who care, are preserving the planet for our own enjoyment. The earth could shake us off in a second, and nature will prevail.
I say let go of the guilt, and do your best to be conscious of your day-to-day impact on the planet, but also, have fun while you're here. You'll be gone soon enough.
